sorafenib
A drug that is used to treat advanced kidney cancer and is being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. It belongs to the families of drugs called Raf kinase inhibitors, VEGF receptor kinase inhibitors, and angiogenesis inhibitors. Also called BAY 43-9006, sorafenib tosylate, and Nexavar.
