MeV linear accelerator
Mega-voltage linear accelerator. A machine that uses electricity to form a stream of fast-moving subatomic particles. This creates high-energy radiation that may be used to treat cancer. Also called mega-voltage linear accelerator, linear accelerator, and linac.
